IAO PAC

It is a time of rapid change and uncertainty. Health care has been declared a top priority by the Indiana General Assembly and the Administration and sweeping changes are in store. What these will be is unclear. How they will affect you and your practice is uncertain, but they certainly will.

The IAO PAC is an important part of the lobbying effort of the Indiana Academy of Ophthalmology and we need your support to keep it alive.  IAO PAC gives you another opportunity to exercise your democratic responsibilities and at the same time be pro-ophthalmology. A strong PAC is vital to the future of organized ophthalmology.

The IAO PAC serves exclusively to protect ophthalmology and our commitment to patient safety.

You would never consider not paying your malpractice insurance premiums. The IAO PAC is another form of insurance for your practice, patients, and profession and needs to be funded appropriately.

Now is not the time to cross our fingers and hope for the best. We must make sure to help get friends of ophthalmology elected to the General Assembly. Never has it been more important for you to maintain access to the political process and legislative decision-making process. During difficult economic times like these it is tempting to forgo contributions. The immediate benefit is not obvious. However, it is precisely at times such as these that support of the IAO PAC is most important. Failure to do so will have consequences that may be disastrous for you and your patients. We encourage you to contribute generously today.
